How to Choose a Private Rajasthan & Golden Triangle Holiday

Compare six private Rajasthan and Golden Triangle routes, their exact nights and endpoints, hotel levels and the details needed for a clear tailored quote.

Choose a private Rajasthan and Golden Triangle holiday by the nights you have, the places that matter most and the hotel experience you want. Safari Rajasthan’s range runs from a six-day Delhi, Agra and Jaipur introduction to a fourteen-day desert journey. Wildlife, a relaxed Udaipur finish and a Rajasthan-only route provide different choices. All are hotel-inclusive proposals with prices and availability confirmed on request.

First decide where you will arrive and depart. Then compare the overnight plan and travel days before choosing Mid-range, Luxury or Ultra-luxury accommodation. A longer list of sights is useful only when the journey leaves enough time to enjoy them.

Compare the six private holiday routes

Route Days and nights Hotel-night plan Starts / ends
Golden Triangle 6 days / 5 nights Delhi 2, Agra 1, Jaipur 2 Delhi / Jaipur
Rajasthan Highlights 8 days / 7 nights Jaipur 2, Jodhpur 2, Udaipur 3 Jaipur / Udaipur
Golden Triangle & Ranthambore 9 days / 8 nights Delhi 2, Agra 1, Ranthambore 2, Jaipur 2, Delhi 1 Delhi / Delhi
Golden Triangle & Udaipur 10 days / 9 nights Delhi 2, Agra 1, Jaipur 3, Udaipur 3 Delhi / Udaipur
Golden Triangle, Jawai & Udaipur 12 days / 11 nights Delhi 2, Agra 1, Jaipur 3, Jawai 2, Udaipur 3 Delhi / Udaipur
Grand Rajasthan Desert 14 days / 13 nights Delhi 2, Agra 1, Jaipur 2, Bikaner 1, Jaisalmer 2, Jodhpur 2, Udaipur 3 Delhi / Udaipur

These durations include arrival and departure days. The endpoint matters: only the nine-day route includes a final Delhi overnight and departure. Request any extra return journey, flight or connection night before accepting the proposal.

Which route fits your priorities?

A first introduction or a Rajasthan-focused holiday

The six-day private Golden Triangle suits travellers who want Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Jaipur within a shorter visit. Two Delhi nights allow an arrival day before sightseeing. If you already know the triangle, or want to focus on Rajasthan’s contrasting cities, the eight-day Rajasthan Highlights holiday connects Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur with dedicated transfer days and a slower finish.

Wildlife alongside the cities

Choose the nine-day Golden Triangle and Ranthambore route when looking for tigers is a priority. Two safari drives are requested for the full Ranthambore day; permits, vehicle sharing, guide arrangements, zone conditions and fees must be confirmed. The twelve-day Jawai and Udaipur journey instead proposes two private 4x4 leopard-search outings in Jawai. Both keep wildlife activity separate from a long arrival drive, and neither promises sightings.

Hotel time, lakes or the desert

The ten-day Golden Triangle and Udaipur holiday adds three-night stays in Jaipur and Udaipur. It suits guests who value hotel time as well as sightseeing; Jaipur to Udaipur remains a full road-transfer day unless a flight alternative is separately confirmed. For Jaisalmer, choose the fourteen-day Grand Rajasthan Desert journey. It gives the desert cities room in the route. Check whether a desert excursion or camp stay is included rather than assuming it from the title.

How should you choose a hotel level?

Mid-range prioritises comfortable, vetted hotels and selected heritage stays with the room facilities you need. Luxury focuses on established higher-service hotels, resorts or heritage properties. Ultra-luxury is built around individually selected iconic properties and room categories. These are planning styles, not universal official star classifications.

Ask to compare named hotels, location, bed setup, bathroom, accessibility, meal basis and the exact room. Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur and The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra are illustrative properties you can request. Their mention does not reserve a room, imply a partnership or include a particular view or benefit. A mixed-tier proposal can put more of your budget into the stays that matter most.

What determines the package price?

Dates, hotel and room choices, party size, rooms, vehicle capacity, guide days and optional experiences all affect the quote. A two-person holiday does not have the same per-person transport cost as a larger party. Children’s ages and extra-bed arrangements also matter. Share these details before comparing prices.

The proposed base covers the stated hotel nights, breakfast after each included night, private road transport and listed local English-speaking city guides. A driver and an accompanying tour escort are different services. Monument admission, other meals, flights, visas, insurance and optional activities are extra unless individually listed. Safari permits and vehicles need their own clear inclusion statement.

Ask for the total for your party in the agreed currency, with rooms, inclusions, exclusions, payment terms and cancellation conditions. Prices are on request because the actual dates and arrangements must be checked. An enquiry is not a room hold or a confirmed booking.

Read the day-by-day plan for transfer days and free time. A light arrival day helps after an international flight, while normal hotel check-in still applies. Request an early room separately when your flight lands well before check-in.

Frequently asked booking questions

Should we book flights before choosing the route?

Agree the start and endpoint first, then coordinate flight timings with the proposal. A Udaipur finish does not include a Delhi return. Allow a practical connection buffer.

Can we visit the Taj Mahal on Friday?

The Taj Mahal is closed for general sightseeing on Fridays. The dated itinerary must adjust the visit order or travel plan before confirmation; a day number does not override a closure.

How many breakfasts are included?

The standard count follows the hotel nights: five, seven, eight, nine, eleven or thirteen respectively. Arrival-day breakfast and early-departure arrangements need specific agreement.

Can families or guests with mobility needs customise the trip?

Yes. Share ages, walking needs, room requirements and child-seat requests. Accessible rooms, vehicle seating and suitable sightseeing need individual checks, including at heritage properties.

What should we send to request a proposal?

Use Chat on WhatsApp on your chosen package page. Send dates, guest numbers and children’s ages, rooms and beds, hotel level, interests and arrival/departure airports. Review the written proposal before payment.
