Golden Triangle, Jawai Leopards & Udaipur — 12 Days

Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jawai & Udaipur 12 Days / 11 Nights Small groups Direct local support

Overview

Combine India's Golden Triangle with the granite hills of Jawai and a relaxed Udaipur finish on this private 12-day holiday. Begin in Delhi, see the Taj Mahal in Agra, explore Jaipur's palaces and continue into rural Rajasthan to look for wild leopards. The route includes eleven nights: two in Delhi, one in Agra, three in Jaipur, two in Jawai and three in Udaipur.

The opening days balance guided sightseeing with arrival recovery. Discover Old and New Delhi, visit Agra Fort and plan your Taj Mahal visit around the monument's Friday closure. Three Jaipur nights allow an Amber Fort and city-palace sightseeing day, followed by time to relax or add an experience that suits your interests.

Jaipur to Jawai is a full road-transfer day, with comfort stops and an evening at your lodge. The following day allows two proposed leopard-search drives with local guides in a private 4x4, as specified in your confirmed programme. Routes and departure times depend on weather and local access; wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Between outings, enjoy time at your lodge rather than adding another long journey.

Continue to Udaipur for lake-side atmosphere, guided City Palace and old-city sightseeing, and a full day to enjoy your hotel or choose an optional outing. The holiday ends in Udaipur, with your departure transfer planned around your flight. A return to Delhi or an extra night can be quoted separately.

Choose Mid-range & Heritage, Luxury or Ultra-luxury accommodation, or mix tiers across the route. Private air-conditioned transport, the listed local English-speaking city guides and daily breakfast form the proposed scope. Other meals and hotel benefits are itemised. Before payment, your proposal confirms the actual hotels, room categories, vehicle, guide days and Jawai arrangements. Flights, visas and monument admissions are extra unless expressly included in that quotation.

Use Chat on WhatsApp above to request your tailored proposal. Send your dates, number of guests, children’s ages, rooms, preferred hotel level and arrival and departure airports. We confirm availability and the final total before you book.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Delhi

Meet your driver at the agreed Delhi arrival point and transfer to your hotel. Keep the remainder of the day for recovery after your flight. Normal hotel check-in applies; an early room must be arranged separately if required. Overnight: Delhi.

Day 2

Old and New Delhi with a local guide

Explore Delhi with a private English-speaking city guide. Plan an Old Delhi walk around Chandni Chowk and a selection of New Delhi sights such as Humayun's Tomb and the India Gate area. The final sequence accounts for opening rules, traffic, walking preferences and your interests. A rickshaw ride or food tasting is an optional addition unless listed in the quote. Overnight: Delhi.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra and Agra Fort

Drive privately to Agra with breaks and settle into your hotel. The planned local-guided visit is Agra Fort. The exact order and timing are set before booking around the arrival schedule and Taj Mahal operating days; avoid adding a full extra city tour to this transfer day. Overnight: Agra.

Day 4

Taj Mahal and onward to Jaipur

Visit the Taj Mahal with a private local guide, with an early start if agreed and suitable for your date. Continue by private road transfer to Jaipur, allowing for breakfast, comfort stops and hotel check-in. The Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors on Fridays; if this day is Friday, the Agra visits must be reordered before your itinerary is confirmed. No dawn visibility or empty-monument experience is guaranteed. Overnight: Jaipur.

Day 5

Amber Fort and Jaipur's palace heritage

Take a private guided sightseeing day including Amber Fort and the City Palace, with an exterior photo stop at Hawa Mahal. The guide and driver pace the day around access conditions and the party's interests. Monument admissions and any special private palace access are extra unless the quotation names them. Overnight: Jaipur.

Day 6

Jaipur at your own pace

Keep a day to enjoy your hotel, revisit the city or arrange an optional interest-led outing. Jantar Mantar, a craft visit, a cooking experience or additional guided walking can be priced separately. Confirm any driver use and added guide hours in the programme; a continuous guide is not automatically included. Overnight: Jaipur.

Day 7

Full road-transfer day from Jaipur to Jawai

Leave Jaipur for Jawai by private road vehicle. This is a full transfer day with comfort and meal stops, followed by lodge check-in and rest. No safari or full sightseeing programme is promised after arrival. Your driver plans the route and departure time around current conditions. Overnight: Jawai.

Day 8

Two proposed Jawai leopard-search drives

Set aside the day for two proposed leopard-search drives, normally one earlier and one later in the day, with rest at your lodge between outings. The confirmed written programme specifies the local guides, private 4x4, session arrangements and pickup. Timing and routes depend on weather and local access. Leopards are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed; Jawai is not sold as a tiger-park core-zone safari. Overnight: Jawai.

Day 9

Jawai to Udaipur

After breakfast, continue privately by road to Udaipur. Settle into your hotel and leave the remaining time free to enjoy the setting. Any extra en-route temple visit needs to be planned and costed rather than assumed. For an old-city or lake hotel, the proposal confirms vehicle approach, luggage handling and any boat-transfer arrangement. Overnight: Udaipur.

Day 10

Udaipur City Palace and old-city sightseeing

Enjoy a private guided sightseeing session centred on the City Palace and the old-city lanes, adjusted to walking preferences and opening rules. Leave part of the day free. A Lake Pichola boat trip can be added separately, with the boat type, boarding point, tickets and operating conditions stated in the quote. Overnight: Udaipur.

Day 11

A full day to enjoy Udaipur

Enjoy an unstructured day at your hotel or ask for an optional craft, food or additional sightseeing experience. This slower finish gives you time to enjoy your chosen accommodation. Optional guide hours, boat trips, treatments and special dinners are confirmed and priced individually. Overnight: Udaipur.

Day 12

Depart from Udaipur

Transfer to Udaipur airport or the agreed local departure point around your confirmed onward journey. The holiday ends in Udaipur. Domestic or international flights, a return to Delhi, an additional Delhi night and any connection buffer are arranged only when separately included in the proposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a private holiday or a group departure?
This is a private tailor-made holiday for your own party. The road vehicle and listed local city guides are arranged for you. It is not a fixed-date coach group, and there is no continuous tour escort unless your quotation adds one. The two proposed Jawai drives are specified as private 4x4 outings in the confirmed programme.
Which hotels and room categories are included?
Your written proposal names the hotel and exact room category in every city, with bed type, occupancy, accepted view and meal basis. Public hotel examples are illustrative until confirmed. We do not treat a generic 'similar hotel' or star label as proof of an equivalent room, location or service. Review and approve the actual accommodation before payment.
What changes between Mid-range & Heritage, Luxury and Ultra-luxury?
The main differences are the named hotels, room categories, settings and specifically agreed services. Private route transport and the listed city-guide days are part of the proposed scope in every tier. A suite, private pool, lake or Taj view, butler, premium car or private dinner is included only when the quote expressly confirms it. You can also mix tiers across the route.
How many meals are included, especially in Jawai?
Daily breakfast is the proposed base inclusion. Jawai lodge lunch and dinner arrangements depend on the chosen property and rate and are itemised in the quote. Lunches, dinners, drinks and mandatory hotel meal charges elsewhere are not assumed included; every included meal plan and known compulsory charge must be stated before you approve.
Are leopard sightings guaranteed in Jawai?
No. The itinerary proposes two drives to search for wild leopards in the Jawai landscape. Wildlife behaviour, weather and local access affect the outings, and a sighting cannot be promised. This is a Jawai leopard experience, not a tiger safari or a promise of a tiger-park core zone.
What is included in the proposed Jawai drives?
The confirmed programme specifies two sessions with local guides in a private 4x4, including the pickup arrangement, sharing status, timing and applicable access conditions. Guide language, outing length and any specialist naturalist are agreed before booking. Hotel transport is separate from the actual drive vehicle; we do not assume every hotel stay automatically includes safaris.
How demanding is the Jaipur to Jawai journey?
It is a full road-transfer day, so Day 7 is reserved for travel, comfort stops and lodge check-in. No leopard drive is promised immediately after the journey. The two proposed drives are planned for the full day in Jawai. If long drives are difficult, ask us to quote an added break night or a revised route with a different total duration.
Can families, older travellers or guests with access needs take this holiday?
The route can be adapted, but suitability depends on the individual. Share children's ages, walking and stair needs, room configuration and child-seat requirements before quoting. Heritage hotels may have steps and uneven layouts, and a 4x4 outing may be unsuitable for some guests. Connecting rooms, step-free access and extra beds need specific confirmation; they are not guaranteed by choosing a higher tier.
What happens if our Taj Mahal day is a Friday?
The Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors on Fridays. We check the actual calendar and reorder Agra visits or revise the timing before the itinerary is confirmed. An early visit can be proposed when suitable, but sunrise visibility, low crowds and uninterrupted access are never guaranteed. Admission tickets remain extra unless the quote lists them as included.
Does the trip return to Delhi, and are flights included?
The 12-day route ends in Udaipur after eleven nights: Delhi 2, Agra 1, Jaipur 3, Jawai 2 and Udaipur 3. A Udaipur departure transfer is included in the agreed itinerary. Flights, visas and a return to Delhi are extra unless expressly included. Share your onward plans so the quote can add flights, a connection buffer or another night where needed.
What does the Mid-range hotel option mean?
Comfortable established hotels and selected heritage stays, with an air-conditioned room and private bathroom. We name the proposed property, room category, location and meal basis. Heritage is a style of property, not a promise of a particular official star rating.
What is different about Luxury accommodation?
Luxury proposals use established high-service hotels, resorts or heritage properties, with the actual room category stated. A balcony, lake or Taj view, pool, club access, spa treatment or special dinner is included only when named in your quote.
How is Ultra-luxury planned?
We individually propose iconic palace hotels, exceptional resorts and selected room or suite categories. Availability and exact benefits are checked for your dates. No suite, private pool, exclusive access, upgrade or room allocation is implied by the label.
Can I request named hotels for each hotel level?
Illustrative city-hotel requests include Alsisar Haveli in Jaipur or Jagat Niwas Palace in Udaipur for Mid-range & Heritage, The Leela Palace Udaipur for Luxury, and Rambagh Palace in Jaipur or Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur for Ultra-luxury. Jawai lodge choices are proposed separately for your dates. These are examples for a tailored request, not a guaranteed hotel list or room allocation. The written quote confirms each actual property, room category, view and meal plan, subject to availability. A lake or Taj view, balcony, suite or pool is included only when expressly stated.
